Rules of Play for Education Foundation of Niagara Online Raffle

  1. The lottery for the Education Foundation of Niagara Online Raffle will take place starting at 9:00 AM on December 1st, 2020 until 10:00 PM on December 27, 2021.
  2. All tickets will only be sold to people who are 18 years of age or older.
  3. Tickets are 1 for $25 or 5 for $100. A maximum of 18,266 tickets will be sold.
  4. Tickets will be available online only at portabackyarda.ca or can be purchased in person at the EFN Kiosk, Pen Centre directly in front of sheds.
  5. After buying, patrons will receive a receipt via e-mail with their registered numbers from a Random Selection System provided by Ascend Fundraising Solutions. No specific numbers can be given as numbers are generated randomly. All patrons will be required to give their name, address, and phone number for each purchase bought.
  6. The winning ticket numbers will be selected by a Random Number Generation (RNG) system from all raffle numbers sold online for the two draws with sales closing at 10:00 PM on December 27, 2021 at The Education Foundation of Niagara office located at 130 Louth Street, St. Catharines Ontario L2S 2T8.
  7. The first winning ticket drawn has the first choice of selecting either "The Oasis" or "The Cave" shed.
  8. The winning number will be announced on the portabackyarda.ca website. All winners will be notified by email or phone. Winners agree to the use of their name and photo for announcement/publicity purposes by The Education Foundation of Niagara.
  9. The winner may claim their prize by contacting EFN Foundation at: (905) 641-2929 x 37711. The ticket may then be brought to The Pen Centre, 221 Glendale Ave, St. Catharines, ON at an agreed upon time for ticket verification. Winners must have the original winning ticket and no copies.
  10. Prizes must be claimed within 6 months after the final draw date.
  11. The winner must provide his/her name, address and phone number with picture identification for our report sheet.
  12. Once the certified winner is verified, and provides identification with photo ID, they will be given the prize. If the winner cannot provide photo ID, then the winning prizes will be held until such identification can be provided.
  13. No cash value or substitutions for any of the prizes. All ticket sales are final.
  14. It shall be the responsibility of the winning ticket holder to prepare their property for shed placement. The Education Foundation of Niagara is not responsible for clearing or preparing the area at the delivery location for placement. Shed will be delivered and only placed in an area that is suitable and accessible.
  15. Shed is received as-is, no modifications are available.
  16. The Education Foundation of Niagara shall not be responsible for any damages to the shed after the delivery and placement of shed.
  17. The Education Foundation of Niagara will provide free delivery of the shed to the winner provided the winner’s property is located within 100 km of the greater Niagara Region.
  18. Delivery must be arranged and accepted within 10 days of claiming the prize.
  19. Delivery outside the Niagara Region is solely the responsibility of the winner.
  20. Any prizes which are not claimed must be secured or placed in safekeeping for a period of six (6) months from the date of the draw. If at that time the prize has still not been claimed, the prize or monies equivalent to the fair market value of the prize must be donated to a beneficiary approved by the licensing authority.
  21. The following individuals are not eligible to participate in the lottery: Employees of The Education Foundation of Niagara, Foundation Auditors, and any person(s) involved in the management and conduct of this raffle.
